Removing floor mats
I'm thinking about removing the rubber floor mats in my '69. Are the doohickeys holding it to the firewall replaceable? Should it come out without tearing up? Any and all suggestions welcome.
Thanks, Bud |

Re: Removing floor mats
The floor mat and under floor insulation is held in place be metal tabs welded on the floor . I believe there are 6. Some in the footwear area and some in the back area where the seat starts

Yup, those are them. Thanks. Also glad to get the headsup about the metal clips.

Re: Removing floor mats
My 72 has two, one each in the left/right foot area, nothing in the back.
