After fixing an oil pressure issue, It Runs!
First time LS swapper here. Read many, many posts with multiple issues of people starting and running their swaps. I guess I feel fortunate that my swap started up right off the bat. The first start up came with a little hiccup though. No oil pressure! Fortunately, I installed a mechanical gauge on the oil cooler block off plate, so it only ran for a few seconds before I shut it down. After a little research, I concluded that the swap pan kit I used (98-02 Camaro) had an oil pick up tube with a one sided flange to bolt it down. Seems this was a bad engineering choice, LOL. Ordered a two bolt collar to get a more even clamping pressure, thew it back together, and fired it back up. Presto, I have oil pressure.
Sure sounds good out of the long tubes, even for stock.

I wonder if you have the wrong O-ring for the pickup tube for the oil pump? I done a number of LS swaps using GM 2002 Camaro oil pans and pickup with stock oil pumps. Never needed more than the single bolt on the oil pump.

It could have been that too. The place I ordered it from used a blue o-ring. When I ordered the collar, I also ordered a red o-ring, because I didn't want to take the pan off again. The red one was noticeably thicker, so I went with it. Either way, it worked.
