It has crossed my mind. Would the hydroboost bolt up right between the firewall and master cylinder? Brake lines should flex enough or need new ones?

When you say they are interchangeable with the correct pulley, do you mean the water pump pulley? Or the same pulleys will work not he bolt-on or press-on pumps?
