V6-to-V8

I guess any GM V-8 would work? I've seen a special project truck that GMC did for their '56 version of the Chevy Cameo. It was called the Palimino and it was equipped with the Pontiac 348CI engine and TH transmission, it looked cool. When making the switch, you might want to measure the driveshaft for the length between the new trans output and the rearend. Good luck

v6

if you decide to scrap the v6, let me know. i might be interested in a few items. do you guys also know what kind of aftermarket carb will replace the stock one? also, what is your opinion on the best vendor for a stock carb rebuild kit or an aftermarket carb. thanks

Another carburator option for the 305 V6 would be the Rochester 2 Jet used on the 283,307 and 327,if you can find one. They perform better than the stock carb and parts are still available for them.It will bolt right up on the 2bbl 305 intake,I think the 351 has a different pattern.Just a thought.
