Cause they're doing it wrong.

Squarebody is '73 through 87/91.

Yep. Nobody who know anything about classic trucks is going to call a 67-72 Chevy a squarebody.

About time you joined the party Back on Earth, that rig of yours is beautiful.

Back to the party, I was thinking seems there are just two OEM items on my truck that are square, a pair of cab shims. The carb is mostly square though; a gray area, often written as grey.

Wait, those cab shims are clearly for the body, so, the unedgucated are actually right.

I took the picture from far enough back to hide the paint flaws. It's a nice 20/20 rig. And it has a square driver.

Re: Why do people cal 72 and older chevy trucks "squarebodies"?

Since Tesla redefined the meaning of squarebody many people are lost, confused and unable to cope with the new reality.

And speaking of Tesla what was Mr Musk thinking when he named his DC electric car company after Nikola Tesla? Mr Tesla was a proponent and inventor of ground breaking AC power equipment after being exposed to the short comings the of DC power systems of the time. Much to the annoyance of his former employer, Thomas Edison who had planned to supply the world with DC power. Shouldn't the car company been named Edison instead?

Well I think it was named before his involvement with the company. Although he likes to say he founded Tesla he didn't. He was an early investor & the company probably wouldn't exist without his money but he did not found it.

This right here. They heard the term "squarebody" once and think it just means older chevy truck.
