Ebay search
Can someone explain this? Am I using a setting wrong or is the search function seriously jacked.
I don’t really like to have to search through dozens of pages of irrelevant items when there are only a small handful of parts that actually meet my search terms. Also… I wish they had a “refurbished” filter for auto parts. If you want OEM you have to search through thousands of refurbished parts.

Re: Ebay search
If you can get online and find the GM part #, then type i in like this

Re: Ebay search
Part of it may be legal protections against lawsuits. NOS IS pre-owned unless found in a dealership or similar cleaning out old inventory. Someone in the past probably sued over a NOS item listed as NEW that was also Pre-Owned. Like something bought but never opened. Technically, pre-owned. The best kind of technically as far as lawyers are concerned.
I often get better results from using outside search engines, think DuckDuckGo, Google, or Bing. Limit your results to ebay by starting with site:www.ebay.com example site:www.ebay.com C10 part description -site:url will exclude results from that url. |

Re: Ebay search
Google claims to be reducing the amount of mud they throw at the wall when you do a search and only show you what you asked for, ostensibly to save money. Maybe eBay will follow suit?

Re: Ebay search
I have noticed a change in the search.
If I am searching for something specific on E bay, I search Duck Duck Go and use something like this example below , with a / ebay in the search. (nos c-10 emblem /Ebay) Link: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=h_&q=nos+c...%2FEbay&ia=web

Re: Ebay search
If you sort by best match it works ok. If you sort by newest listing (i.e. if you want to search daily for new listings and not have to sort through ALL listings all over again) it brings in all the rando.

Re: Ebay search
My saved searches bring a pile of crap with nothing to do with the search criteria, at all.
