I might have a pedal assembly off a square body, would that work?

I'm almost wanting to stick with the metal rod, but I'm not sure where to get the correct one.

I'm not opposed to swapping to cable, but not sure it's necessary

I did find a manifold with the oil fill tube for a reasonable price (at least I think it was reasonable)
