1970 Only Oil Fill tube K5, K10, K20

Well...always learning on this site. Got schooled the other day which means I'm back on the hunt for a hard to find. Turns out some 1970 K trucks with power brakes (and probably A/C too) had a first gen oil fill tube that was different from the 71-72 tube. It was part number 3929746. It screwed into the valve cover and had a metal four nub screw on oil fill cap. It had a separate stabilizer bracket assembly.

I am restoring a 1970 K20 with power brakes and A/C. I need the tube, cap, bracket and hardware....So I'm casting the biggest net I can. If you got one and are willing to sell, great! If you've got one on a truck...I'd even go so far as to get you a 71-72 version with hardware to replace your 1970 version (if you'd be willing to take it off). Hey...I've got some NOS spares, maybe I've got something you can use and you'd rather trade. Open to making something work.

Thanks to anyone who knows where this needle in a haystack is and can help.

Brad

The caps for these are pretty easy to find. A few NOS caps on Ebay right now. I will put my feelers out for the rest.

Re: 1970 Only Oil Fill tube K5, K10, K20

I know that this has been established in another thread, but for completeness...here it is in actual parts books that I own. It is not in all of them. I did find it in my OG dealer parts booked copyright 1971. And I found it the 62-72 catalogue "copy" that I bought off eBay.

It's definitely a thing I need for my 70 K20 with power brakes.

If it has a power brake booster. Manual brake K10's did not have the tube. All K20's were power brake.

Those medium duty truck units sure look very similar. Would be curious of the differences..

Our goal had been to get the truck finished in time to take it...but unfortunately it's not going to happen. We accepted defeat on that a few weeks ago. So I'll probably skip this year and figure out where we can take it next year.

Yes, was thinking of 1971-72, where power brakes was standard on all except 10 series.

Since IronCanine did all the hard work I am going to post here. I would buy one of these filler tubes also if anybody has one.
