One thing to consider on a gen3 LS1/LS6 alum block they can't be bored much due to the thin cylinder wall liners.
Iron block gen 3's can be bored .030 over no problem. Boring and stroking a 5.3 to 383 cubes has become popular. Man I like spending other peoples money! LOL. I have a 2002 LS6/4L60E combo in my 98 Wrangler for over 15 years. It's been a totally reliable swap and a to blast drive. Plows snow great. |
