Painting the inside of the bed

Recently, I have spent a heap of cash on the 98, and I want to ask you guys a question. It is all org, indigo blue (solid). The outside and interior could pass for a 5 year old truck. The bed though, is another story. I have used it as a truc, not abused, but the bedsides have several clearcoat scratches and a few small dings, nothing that cant be smoothed out. The floor has always had a rubber mat and the tailgate has a bedliner plastic cover on it.
Now if I take it to Line x, they will do a nice job, but do you think if I did that, would it be taken that I was covering up something? My other 2 choices would be, sand / prime /bc /cc. Or single stage mixed at the paint shop in aerosol cans. Body work is the same. What is your guy's opinion?

Re: Painting the inside of the bed

Honestly I would line-x it an not look back. My 98 has had it for 20+ years and has held up exceptionally well, hauling chord after chord of fire wood, trips to the dump, you name it. The floor in mine is pretty wavy from the firewood but the line-x hasn’t peeled or cracked at all. If you are going to use it as a truck I can’t think of a better way to go. I don’t personally look at a truck with a professionally installed spray in bed liner as covering anything up because the pro’s should take all the steps to make sure it done right so the warranty is valid. Now if Jim-bob and Cletus did it with one of the Walmart special roll on kits I’d be very suspicious.
