67-72 B47 Swap

Like the title says has anyone here instead of doing the B52 swap used/moved the stock front spring mounts and used 47" springs or something close to that? I will not be using the truck predominately offroad, but it will not be a pavement princess either! I would like good road manners and feel at highway speeds and like to run something in the 33" range. Moving the front mounts forward on rivet spacing looks like that would be 1 and 3/16", moving the shackle mount aft might take some real finagling because you wouldn't be moving past the existing center hole diameter but filing that and redrilling wouldn't be to much if it is to be done!
