Cool 72 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer with the "Mod Bods" Sportbird graphics package

I spotted this Sportbird on Facebook for sale locally to me. I'd love to see the Sandman or 1776.

That’s my buddies blazer. A guy in idaho/Montana buys a bunch of k5s all over the west and then sells them to this dealer. They reproduce and sell this sticker kit for like $800 in different colors. I think he sold this for $19000 less than a year ago

Re: 72 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer with the "Mod Bods" Sportbird graphics package

I didn't like this sort of graphic as a kid, but now I think its pretty cool. I was thinking it would be neat to build a 4x4 Suburban with this graphic kit (made to fit the longer wb though), but in this day and age of the weird "correctness/appropriation" attitude I would be afraid some zealot would deface it. Since there seems to be no consequences these days for people/zealots/idiots that do this sort of thing, I've changed my thinking.

It’s funny you mention building a burb with those graphics. I had a nos “Eagle by Chevrolet” sticker set. It was for long bed but had marking where to cut for blazer. I intended on stickering up my hugger orange k10 burb but I ran into problems because kit cannot be used with upper trim moulding. So I sold the set

Cool Re: 72 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer with the "Mod Bods" Sportbird graphics package

You know the old ads mention "The Sandman" "Flames By Chevy" or "1776 by Chevy" but, I've yet to see any of those graphics but, you see "Feathers" "Eagle" or, "Sportbird" all the time. I think it'd be badass to drive a K/5 with the "Sandman" graphics.

Re: 72 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer with the "Mod Bods" Sportbird graphics package

I bought an Astro Van that my nephews and I were going to try and make a semi clone of this red van in the pic. I had a fella that was going to make me up the vinyl graphics. Unfortunately one of my nephews ran the van into a long ditch and dented up the van all the way down one side. Really wasn't worth putting money into those repairs ... I think it would have been kind a cool.

I definitely love mine, even in ochre. I can hardly get gas without someone offering to buy it or commenting on it.
I’ve seen a sandman blazer in person, pretty cool. Sportbird/feathers seems to be most common tho. Not sure why there’s two “official” names (Feathers, Sportbird) as they are the same.

I've been batting around some van ideas - almost always have one project or another going through my head. Would have been cool to do the graphics package on the Astro. I would have recognized it and checked it out if I saw it.
