best market place for selling

NOT TRYING TO SELL MY TRUCK.

Just curious what the different ways people are advertising to sell their trucks. I am of the older generation now and all I seem to hear is Facebook to sell anything. I see craigslist is now charging, offer up seem to be not doing well and this forum seems to keep up with new listings, just wondering what people are using? swap meets and outings??? Local or national, Ebay??? Thoughts

I have never used it and I don't follow it but reading the posts on here it seems to me that the "Bring A Trailer" web site is a good outlet. Stuff seems to sell good on there.

I've sold a few hot rods on CL over the years. Yeah you get the folks that want to help you sell and the meat heads that just want to low ball. I was in industrial sales for 30 plus years so I have pretty thick skin. I just tell both not to bother me anymore and block their cell numbers.

Re: best market place for selling

I haved used Craigslist and FB Marketplace with good luck on both and no issues. Marketplace seems to reach more folks right now,but that could lean to more fakes. Not been a big issue in my area. I have not ysed any auction/bid style sites. Inormally know what price i am looking for, so I am not trying to squeeze barret Jackson's type pricing.

My brother has used BAT a couple of times with good success, he says having them come out and take the pics/info is well worth the money. Not sure but I think he said about $250 for that service.

Craigslist is a tricky one but I have had very good results over the years. You have to know how to weed out the flakes.

No emails or text I will not respond, No financing........Cash only, I entertain offers in person only, Here's my phone number call me if you're interested....This seems to eliminate 99% of them.

Re: best market place for selling

I have used BAT one time to sell my 71 K1500 SWB. I was very satisfied with the result. My initial concern was that to list on BAT, I had to sell at "no reserve". They would not accept my listing with a reserve because it had a rebuilt title. I was really worried that the rebuilt title would scare off alot of bidders. I explained the reason for the rebuilt title in the listing (smoke damage from a garage fire, never wrecked) and not one bidder/viewer questioned the title. The truck bid up strongly the first 3 days, sat quiet for 2 days and took off again on the final 2 days. For a fee of only $99, BAT brings a lot of eyeballs to your vehicle. They also seem to have a good sample of bidders/buyers...individuals, collectors and companies who have the ability to make a purchase. After the auction concluded, BAT gives seller and buyer each others email/phone info and it's up to buyer/seller to complete the deal. BAT charges the buyer their 5% sales price commission and they're gone. I had no problem finishing my deal and that seems to be the norm on BAT

Re: best market place for selling

they have a few platform(s) for anything that you want to sell

just demand(s) at how you want to advertise or selling it

craigs has been a good place to sell and marketplace also ( usually in the area that you live in )

they also have the bay or bat is a good selling point but usually have fee s associated w it

or maybe trying online classified(s) or joining additional vehicle form(s)
