Meet Lucille
Hey y'all Im in TX and have been known to build a few toys. My most recent project is a 1962 C10 named Lucille. She has been in my family since the 60's.
My brother drove her in high school and I had a blue 66 LWB Custom. We parked her in the hay field in 1997 in Northern Colorado until I hauled her to TX last October. Since then I have taken her from a locked up inline six to period correct hot rod truck. I rebuilt and swapped in a 283 out of a 1962 C10 added tripower, hei, an alternator disguised as a generator and finished her in Poppy's Patina. I also redid the bed and brakes all the way around.I still need to finish the seat and sun visors in leather, and install an Old Air AC system. It feels great to have her back on the road. Very nice. Good that you've kept it period correct. I like it a lot.

Re: Meet Lucille
Nice! I always worry about underside rot when they sit on grass or soil for any length of time. I'm glad that you were able to save her!

Re: Meet Lucille
Welcome aboard and I like the photos. And, under the hood. I have a 85 LWB Silverado with a crate 350 HO, a Muncie 4 speed, headers, etc. I have only had this truck for 25 years. It is also our ranch truck for hauling hay, feed, etc. Let us know when you make new improvements
