kinda desperate for driveshaft :(

My Denny's driveshaft grenaded when the carrier bearing failed and they don't make 2-piece driveshafts anymore. I haven't been able to find ANYONE that makes these new or refurb, so I guess I gotta find a stock one and rebuild it myself.

just checking in to see if anyone knows a source for new or used before I start looking around.

'72, 2WD, longbed, coil spring, TH350.

Reach out to a local trans builder or big truck & equipment repair shop. They will know who makes drive shafts near you and can build you a two piece.

Re: kinda desperate for driveshaft :(

Found these folks in Seattle and they were awesome. They can make anything, and they were able to rehab an old, dead shaft I had.

Re: kinda desperate for driveshaft :(

Would this be a good time to consider a one piece?

The original two piece was designed to cover all drivers in all situations at all speeds with all option content for the life of the vehicle (or more).

Depending on your tire size, rear axle ratio and driving style (how fast are you planning on going?) a one piece might do.
