Re: Anyone else miss Sears?
I do miss Sears. Sadly, Sears pretty much died 20 years ago. It just took a little while longer for the last nail in the coffin to be driven.
I can remember buying everything in Sears from clothing to appliances to tools. Kuppenheimer even had a "store within a store" at Sears back in the 1980s; I bought a suit there. Fortunately, I've still got a good supply of Craftsman tools and they were so ubiquitous that the Made in U.S.A. Craftsman tools in good condition aren't hard to find. Having said that, however, I do still often buy new tools, Made in U.S.A. if I can find them. Klein, Channellock, Masterforce (Menard's), etc. all still have a LOT of Made in U.S.A. items.
