Photos from the MinterFab go.N.Show

Minter Fab a rod shop about 30 miles from me put on it's second Go.N.Show today.

The show part was at a park in Gleed Wa west of Yakima on US 12/410

The Go part encompassed a 187 mile loop from Gleed to Bickleton Wa with a coffee and look around stop up on the top of the Horseheaven hills. Then down over the other side through the oak trees if any are left after the fires and a nice drive to Goldendale where they made a gas stop and took a short break and then over Satus pass on 97 with maybe (no one said) a coffee stop at St John the Forerunner Monastery coffee shop where some of the best coffee anywhere can be found and on over the pass and down past my house to Toppenish where they turned and went back to Gleed for the show part.

They went past my house about 1 when I was sitting here thinking that I was way too late to make it up there.

The first AD belongs to the folks who put the event on.

I've never seen the square short stepside with the blown LS before but it is an interesting truck that is a real sleeper.

A Few more The gray square body 4x4 is a nice truck and the slammed crew cab is a real interesting truck. No bags or fancy stuff just Flip the axle on the springs and add a healthy C notch.

The high and low of the square bodies. Plus one of the nicest AD trucks in the PNW even though the build is almost 20 years old. 11K paint job almost 20 years ago and it still looks fantastic today. The TF stretch cab is a regular at a lot of local events.

Re: Photos from the MinterFab go.N.Show

The little Green AD with the wire wheels was a new one to me but a pretty decent truck. The square body is one of the most traveled rigs in the area and I seldom go to a show that it isn't at. He is also one of the guys who puts on the local Saturday morning cars and coffee gathering.

The Chinook Chassis mount camper is one of the nicest I have seen in a while for not being fully restored. A true camper rather than a motor home converson as the back of the cab was not cut out and the camper is separate from the cab.

Interior shots of the chassis mount camper truck.

I'll Admit that the only Camaro I would consider and have wanted for a while is a split bumper 70/73. If I ever have a winning power ball ticket that is how you will know. I've had a couple of first gen Camaros and an 82 that my wife got more tickets in than you can write home about.

Nice but not overdone square body.

Re: Photos from the MinterFab go.N.Show

Yup it is a Bronco but the photo is about the folks who have the table in front of it. Cascade licensing in Union Gap is my go to car license outfit and if they don't know the answer the owner has the number of the person in Olympia that does. By far the best car license place in Washington state. Totally legal and they won't help you with nonsense but they can get things done if you are squared away.

This is the link to my Smugmug album for the event. https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/Minterfab-goNSshow The rest of the story.

Re: Photos from the MinterFab go.N.Show

I had made a post on FB suggesting doing a cruise like that just as the event a year or so ago. I've done it a time or two when I went to Bickleton to the car show and then went out the back way. That was before the fires in that area though. I didn't make it up there this year for the show because the truck wasn't driving great (before the clutch blew up) and our son and daughter in law and grandson were coming in to Prosser for the weekend. As it turned out we could have gone to the show and then to Prosser in plenty of time because they had trouble with one truck and had to turn around and go back and unload the horses and swap gear to the other truck and then come to the valley.

I'm going to the Concours De Maryhill at the Maryhill museum next Saturday Oct 5 and think that Jean is going with me this time. She wants a stop at the St John the Forerunner Monastery store to pick up some goodies that they make meaning that I'll have to pack a cooler. You will probably be involved in the UNrun though.

I would normally be involved in the UNRun, but we leave for my father in law's in Sacramento Oct 3rd and return Oct 12th. Allways enjoy that trip. Just bought another Grand Cherokee so should be a fun drive.
