1966 C10 Long to Short Frame... ready to start cutting

Hello,
After alot of research, looks like I'm ready to start cutting. But just in case, im hoping to get some confirmation if my setup looks good, I used pics and diagram from this site, but was for a 67-72 I believe, and this is a 66 c10.

I'm either going to box in with 3/16 plate, or order summit frame stiffener set. Thoughts?

You can box it, but you should for sure fish-plate the weld. You could even do both.

Sounds great -keep us posted on the progress. I just finished shortening my ‘67 c10.

Would love to see the process on a 60-66.

I would mark your new locations for cab mounts before you cut it and lose your original positions as a reference.

My thought was to reference off the front cab mount flange... I've got the rear mount location now, so I can locate it back after welding?? For vertical, I'll take your suggestion and get that added now. Ty
