Re: Wheel decision need some input

Having the tires mounted tomorrow. I was going to wait till I did the disc brake conversion. Have everything except the booster and master I ordered them from Pickmup . They are in transit I even decided to buy 72 front lines from Inline Tubing and the rubber hoses from Brake Hose Unlimited. Heard a lot of negatives about the hookup of the calipers to the factory 68 lines .

Re: Wheel decision need some input

I'd put BL out, if the WL blue soap won't scrub off. I used '73+ brake lines when I did my conversion. I just had to engineer the routing, since I didn't change the front steel lines from the drum brake configuration. Maybe I'll do that before the next brake job, which will be in 2400 at the rate I drive this truck.

Both are 6 lug for my 68 both have the old school look that I’m looking for

Been going back and forth for a few days .
We went with the visions, I just think for the vintage look, you can't beat them

Figured I’m in it this far might as well change the hard lines to 72 specs

Yes I did . Not happy with the rear I must have been in a brain fog to buy 245/60s . I did a lot of measurements and I can fit a 275/60 tire so that’s what I'm doing . Front will come down with the disc brake conversion I’ll be doing in a few weeks got all the parts now . But I’m taking it to the C10 Fall Revival in NC in two weeks . So far as I know it hasn’t been cancelled because of Helene

Maggie valley is western NC near Cherokee. Denton is south of Greensboro. So far there is no mention of cancellation on the Fall Revival or the Denton farm parks where the show is being held
