car part garland

It's like a redneck Christmas in here with car part garland. The ole burb is watching outside, lol

Just some bodywork to the doors and prime, then paint. I'm shooting to have the interior all painted before the cold of fall hits. The outside will have to wait until spring unless we get a warm winter—in Wisconsin, that isn't likely!

Love progress.

Re: car part garland

Stripped the wood floor as well. im amazed to see how red the stain was. Has anyone figured out the original stain color? I'm guessing this one is original...

My ‘72 wood floor and metal floors were painted Wheatland Yellow…same as the body color, as well. As it’s original, the paint is kind of thin now.

Re: car part garland

It may be that the later years were painted. Or maybe some plants painted them. My 67 Fremont Burban wasn't painted. The majority of ones I've seen haven't been painted.

Sounds like the perfect topic for a poll thread!
Hint, hint.

And I do like how you decorated your garage.

Re: car part garland

Looking good! I can't believe how dented up the burb barn doors get. Mine looked like someone took an axe to them. My 70 had factory green overspray on the floor and my 68 parts truck had no paint on the plywood.
