I don't now squat about newer trucks but I would check the ground on the temp sensor, specifically if it was installed with teflon tape or some other sealant that would interfere with the ground conductivity. If not, put the sensor in boiling water and read the ohms across the terminals. There should be specs for a normal sender online someplace. -BA
