I found it mo better to support both sides when drilling

Make sure your chuck clears clamps when you get that Bamm and you’re through the sheet metal

I want to try and seal up my high mount, anyone know how the factory did it, maybe dum dum

I found some 1/2” rope, 5/8” was to big, I’ll use some black weather strip cement to see if it bonds to the nylon

Which surface will fail first, old rusty metal, or shiny plastic

Found an old wire wheel, variable speed helps

Seems easier to paint on a product then to wire brush, with all those wires flying out

I like to use a primer coat of the 3M adhesive, let it sit overnight, and reapply in morning, let it flash and apply

Good guess, I have no idea. But, later in the day, I wire brushed the area and added another coat of rust mort, let it dry and it stuck

Maybe a bubble of bad product in the tube, but that doesn’t make sense b/c I continued to use the same product later in the day

So, today I slowed my driver down to 10rpm, so the wire bristles don’t fly out at me, gave it a coat of rust mort and coated it with my spatter paint

Re: PO has me PO'd

Apparently some sort of chemical reaction, spatter paint turned chalky, 2 steps back

It looked good last night

Guess I better do a better job at prepaint

Thanks Jesse, seems like the older I get, the more things are failing on my body, thank goodness we have doctors and technology I have several devices in there. My favorite is the main artery from my heart to my groin, made of goretex and some synthetic stuff

Tried the old molten hoola hoop trick wasn’t satisfied with results, so I filled up the hollow rope with 3M adhesive, let it cure for 4hours, then I could shape into desired shape
