shock for a low rider
hi i am building a 62 gmc with air suspension and i was wondering what kind of travel i should get. originals have about 5 inches but for lowering and liftting would be nice to have as much travel as possible . Thanks Denis

I sat my chassis on the ground, and relocated the shock mounts such that they would fully compress the stock shocks. Then it's easy to remember what shocks I used.
If you truly want a low-rider, you should be well versed in cutting and welding anyways..... (big grin).

skinny g yes i am very comfortable with slice and dicing steel , know what you mean just wanted other peoples thoughts on what shocks guys used

Another vote for stock shock lengths & moving the mounts to suit the travel requirements.
