Looking for input on what needs to go between can floor and carpet.

Depends on what you are looking for . Super insulated and quite you need some floor mat or lizard skin . I bought the ACC with mass backing and that’s all I did . It’s a big improvement over just jute backing .

I'm a Dynamat believer. This one improvement totally changed the driving experience, It is not cheap, but does so much to lower heat and noise into the cabin.

2017 Sierra 1500 SLT 4WD, Black, 45k miles, 5.3, 6L80E, 3.42 LS, 20" polished wheels, everything but moonroof and 6.2...

2019 Canyon SLT 4WD, White, 62k miles, 3.6, 8L45, 3.23 LS, 18" wheels

Yep, I’m happy I went with DynaMat also.

I also agree with 72c20customcamper
I used DynaMat for heat/sound insulation under a ACC mass backed carpet.

I used Dyna Mat like generic from Summit. I cut it to fit as needed. Then 3/8" double sided foil with jute in between the foil. Then standard carpet.
