OT, Studebaker spot lamp story

I had this story bookmarked, it's a how-to, but also a story about how the cop lights we hated as "old junk" in the 80's have now regained interest as "vintage accessories"

Unity is still in business. In Chicago, not China. Their P/N 202 is the correct bezel for the 67/72 GM Driver Side A Pillar, so there's no excuse for the RTV hack.
I never hated working Cop Spots, but Fake Spots are just plain cheesy. It's not that hard to get them working.
Unity now sells LED lamps, so the heavy amp draw of bright spots is in the past.
I have a couple of Cop Spots, salvaged from Picture Cars that were blown up in movies. The spots were unscathed.
When I get the Passenger Side corner of the Windshield/ A Pillar fixed, and the Roll Bar installed, I will mount my Cop Spot to my '71 GMC Jimmy.
