Need a New Radiator

I have a '68 GMC C2500 with a 396, granny 4 speed and AC. My radiator is leaking and with 110K miles I don't plan to have it repaired.

Looking inside, I see 4 rows in the core. The finned area measures about 29' x 17".

I'd appreciate a recommendation for a replacement.

Thanks.

Re: Need a New Radiator

I put a champion aluminum in my ‘71. Good warranty. I’m running an automatic, with air. Also using electric fans. Not that this should make a difference. Google them. Believe you can buy directly from them.

Thank you Smitty. How was the fit; any alterations required?

Re: Need a New Radiator

X2 on the Champion aluminum radiator.
I replaced my radiator back in 2020 with the Champion EC 369,purchased from Jegs for the free shipping.
The fit is good
Back then I had a 350 with 4 speed manual transmission in my 72 C10, stock fan and shroud.
Now I use the same radiator with electric fans in front of an Ls with 6 speed manual
No overheating issues ever with either setup

Re: Need a New Radiator

It pretty much just drops in. The 4 core developed a leak. After contacting them they warranties it. I ended going up the road since they are close to me in So. Cal. But they said that I could have sent a picture of the spot where it was leaking and they would have handled it that way. I ended up with a 3 core this time. The rubes on the 3 core are bigger so the flow is better. I am real happy with it. Don’t recommend anything that doesn’t treat me right. Summit is a good source as well. And their customer service is hard to beat.

Re: Need a New Radiator

I’ve used 2 Champion radiators and been happy with the performance, price point, and fitment in my trucks.

Re: Need a New Radiator

I used a Cold Case in my 72 with the new BluePrint motor . Fit was excellent and it keeps the temps between 180-190 in the head with the stick fan and shroud . Put over 5k miles on it this summer
