It was ordered without 2nd or 3rd row seats and used for pulling a small trailer and camped in. An 80’s K5 seat was added as a middle seat at some point. Quite a survivor with absolutely no rust and drives like a new truck as it should.

I cut the homemade trailer hitch off to have the fuel tank reconditioned. Rebuilt and tuned the Quadrajet and installed new master cylinder and booster. Removed the added vacuum gauge, and hydraulic trailer brake controller and wiring looked over the truck and handed the keys to my wife and she’s been daily driving it. Looking for a chrome roof rack to add to it. It’s been a great truck so far, looking forward to making memories in this truck. No more garage time for this one!
Your wife must be proud to drive that around.

Wow thank you for all the votes and love. This is the first award we have gotten since owning this truck. We don’t show it because that’s not what it’s for; they are made to drive and enjoy. Just lucky to be it’s owner. Any requests on photos?

Beautiful suburban, congrats.

As for picture requests, if you don't mind, could you post more pics of the interior?

Re: November 2024 ToTM - PoBoy

Congratulations on your award and your beautiful surburban ! For a contrast my doctor bought his wife a 2017 Surburban, it’s loaded with every electronic gizmo you can imagine. Truck had 110K when he got it. Within a few weeks the 6 speed transmission was toast. Bad front pump. $4500 later back on the road. Few weeks later the 5.3 multi displacement engine dropped a valve. Truck is sitting behind a repair shop while he decides the next move. Beware of these vehicles because every single one is a time bomb.

First I will start by posting the SPID. This truck was ordered new with ONLY a front seat. There was no rear rubber floor mat, no crossmember underneath the body to mount seat brackets and no holes in the wood floor.

A 69 tan full length seat is a very hard piece to find, to the point I gave up and bought the nicest seat I could find but happens to be blue. Underneath the universal brown vinyl floor is an unmolested green steel floor still wearing the factory grip tape. I did have to drill some holes through the wood to mount the rear brackets, no big deal! This setup does great until that saddle bench rears its head. Also for good measures is a photo of the headliner.

Re: November 2024 ToTM - PoBoy

WOW! Pretty much looks like a truck you would purchase as a 2nd owner in 1975-80 from the 1st owner who took good care of it. Lol.

Have you considered dying / painting the 2nd seat with SEM product to match the rest?

Congrats again.

No I haven’t thought of that route. I’d be curious to know how well the color change would work.
