Replacement radiator for 250 inline 6
Going to put a new radiator in my 1968 GMC when I put the rebuilt 250 motor in after the first of the year. Looking for advice on the best radiator to put in. Would like one that looks like the original factory style. Do they still make these? Are they 3 row, 4 row? Suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Replacement radiator for 250 inline 6
I have been running 292s in my '68 C/10 Stepside since 1973. Around 15 - 20 years ago, I found the L6-Specific
Radiator was no longer available new. If you can get your OEM copper/brass radiator rebuilt, get it done. Otherwise the only option is one for a V8. So I got a V8 radiator for my Stepside. While I have a Manual Transmission, I don't need the AT cooling lines hooked up. The ports are simply plugged. The V8 Radiator is about 4'' wider. I was able to move the passenger side radiator mount over to the existing V8 positions in the Radiator Support. Since I was also upgrading from a 2-Tier to 3-Tier core [I'm in the Desert in AZ] I needed wider pads inside the radiator mounts. The new wider radiator gives you more cooling surface. If you are also replacing the Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses [recommended] they will stretch to the new position. I'm quite happy with the modification to a V8 Radiator. My 292 runs cooler in the Summer now.

Anyway, check out this link to an L6 radiator. Just found with a search: https://www.championradiators.com/Ch...6Cyl-1967-1972

Re: Replacement radiator for 250 inline 6
I did a LMC 3 row v-8 radiator for my inline 6. It was made in Taiwan. It is now cooling a 5.3 LS just fine no issues
