I started as a nuke in the early 70s but decided that was a stupid way to go. I did stay as a Machinist Mate and ended up on a couple of bird farms, with the Enterprise as the last one that I was on (A Division) Guess what, I am NOW a NUKE. I work at a nuclear power plant as an operator and have been a Shift Manager for 6 years. The money is outstanding and the rules means that everything takes a lot of time to do ANYTHING. Ain't life grand.

That crazy job of yours can make you some money and you can look around the country for a place to land.

Re: Who here is Military: Serving or Veteran?

Active duty Army 2000-present. Started out as 11C mortarman, now I am a Warrant Officer, AH64D pilot. I have really enjoyed my time in the military and I hope that the next ten will be as rewarding as the first.

US Navy 1986 - 2006. Trust me, the second 10 will go by way faster than the first 10.
