Re: My New Truck
You'll have have to set your video's settings to ether public or unlisted for us to be able to see it. Unless you can figure out how to share a private video I have never done it so I don't know how it works on those.
Unlisted usually is the best way to go if you want to share a video but don't want it coming up in the YouTube search results.

Re: My New Truck
Video worked.
I know you mentioned & swapped the cam but I never noticed the details/specs regarding your choice. What did you go with?

Its a moderately priced cam. You can read more about it in the link below. Warning it you do a camshaft like this you WILL need a stall converter! https://sites.google.com/site/sloppy...sloppy-stage-2 Chev Gen III/IV (LS Series) 3-Bolt '97-Present Adv. Duration: 283/286 Duration @ .050": 228/230 Lift: .585/.585 Lobe Separation: 112 LC If you run this can you do not need to change the pushrods. Only the valve springs need to be changed to the PAC1218’s.

Re: My New Truck
Ok, on the cold air intake here is what I did. I took the factory Silverado air box (2001-2007). And I just modified it. I took off the outside cold air intakes where the Silverado would get its cold air from. I plugged those as the stock Silverado cold air intake tubes popped right out. I had some old gm plastic parts laying around, so i cut the up to fill these old Silverado cold air intake tubes. Baking soda and SUPER GLUE make a real good filler/glue for this (albeit messy).
If you’re wondering why i just didn’t cut a hole in the rad support. That isn’t going to happen, as my rad support was in perfect condition after 50 years so I am not going to cut it up. So instead i will punch a hole in the aftermarket inner fender liners.

Re: My New Truck
So i just went to my local metal dealer and bought 4” aluminum tubes 24” long. (Didn’t really know how much I needed). I reset the air box in the right front corner of my Squarebody and after a lot of measuring and calculating i took the 4” hole saw and punched a hole in the bottom of the air box. I then used little “L” brackets to mock up where i wanted the tube. The bolts were later removed so air flow would not be restricted.
In the air box and on the outside of the air box any gaps i filled with a silicon type of caulk to make sure only the air outside the engine compartment is getting into this air box.

For some reason this silver tube picture won’t save in the previous file.

Re: My New Truck
For the intake tube I used standard 4" aluminum tube from the local metal dealer. I scuffed it up real good with a scotch brite pad then painted it with some Duplicolor Truck bed liner. Nothing fancy here.

Re: My New Truck
Many thanks to TKCR for the "new" 3 point seat Belts. I think they look pretty much like they were installed in this 1973 from the Factory...which was my goal!

So I got the LS up and running. Yeah!
I got the base tune from Brendan at Lt1swap.com. But now I need to get a real tune done. Anybody know of a place in Kansas City that does LS ecu tuning?

Re: My New Truck
Pretty sure he's strictly Holley based remote tuning. He's also in Texas now as well.
