old bench seat cover
Does anyone have a old tattered bench seat cover that they don't want? My upholster wants a used one to pattern off of. He wants an easy job. He owes me a free job to redo my '67 bench seat for a trade on an engine swap I did. I've looked online for a used throw away ones and they are scarce and overpriced for want will to be done to it. He wants to start on it in December. Any suggestions will be helpful.

You need to know which seat you have. There were a couple of different styles of bench seat in '67. Here is a good thread on the subject. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=825314 .

Re: old bench seat cover
Thanks Leon, Yes I do have the fold down seat. I did buy new foam for the seat bottom and back. It is a C10 custom package. When I bought the truck it only came with a bare bench seat, just the springs.

Re: old bench seat cover
If you can find a seat cover that only has the drivers side damaged, it can be used as a pattern.
The middle of the center section would have to be intact. The good passenger side can be used for a drivers side pattern, just a mirror image. I bet there's some of those around. Of course, knowing the year of seat (Leon...) will help. I Some upholstry folks are good enough to make the cover work...regardless of year. |

The only thing I have is a good used one. Hopefully someone else will have a takeoff one.
