towing with lowered truck

I was curious if any of you with lowered trucks tow heavy trailers. What kind of things would need to be upgraded to tow 6000# with a 1/2 ton shortbed? 3/4 ton rear springs?, air springs?, better brakes?, 3/4 ton rear end? Is it possible to tow that much weight with a shortbed?
Anyone have any ideas?

towing 6000# with a shortbed perior is a bad idea. you need a longer wheel base, heavier springs, better brakes, better gears. while it is possible to tow that much with a 1/2 ton shortbed, its just a bad idea.
