Brake booster install

I just got a brake booster to upgrade my manual brakes to power. I was just wondering if anyone has done this before and what I need to do. I have the booster, bracket and longer rod. I thought I have seen a post on this before, but I cant find it now even with search working again.

All I had to do was unbolt the M/C from the firewall and pull it out far enough to mount the booster. Just bend the brake lines (don't put a crimp in them) to move the M/C out far enough. Connect the booster to the brake pedal. Be prepared to do some adjusting to get everything right. I had to adjust the rod between the booster and M/C, the rod between the brake pedal and booster and worst of all the stupid brake light switch. Your wire to the brake light will need to be extended also. Hook up the vacuum (good idea to get a new check valve) and enjoy.

chevytruckfan,

I take it everything made it down to you OK? it should go in pretty easy, but will probably need adjusted a little. The truck it came out of was one that was upgraded to P/B so maybe everything except the brake light switch will line up right. Good Luck
