Rear brake question
Will the backing plate and all it's attachments, those being brake shoes, wheel cylinders, and e-brake cables from my 68 rear end fit on a 71-72 rearend?
I rebuilt the rearend of the 68 before the wreck, so all that stuff is new. Can I just unbolt the backing plates and bolt them on the "new" 72 rear end? I know I will need new drums.

i would say heck yes.....just use every thing off the 68.....
some use 2" wide brake shoes ....and some are 2 3/4" wide ....the wider being h.d. if both are 12 bolt's your all set.... ![]() |
