1st engine pic is a mostly stock 87 octane 500 cadillac, went 12.97 at 100. 2nd engine pic is current engine, although it has a 4781 holly and hei now, went 11.66 at 113.96 so far. Welded valve covers were req'd due to firewall clearance issues and shaft roller.

3rd engine pic is a twin turbo'd engine that I ran two years ago. Turbocharger were too small and it didn't run like I wanted, so it was sold.

Have already posted in the '73-'87 section, but thought I would put them here also. Been running without a hood for a long time and finally had it cut and the injector plate and hat spaced 2" for better exposure. No track times, no dyno numbers, just my daily cruiser....

took it to the track a week ago and stunk the place up bad track horrible air couldnt get it to hook so went home. only thing worth anything was it went 105mph in the 1/8th from half track which is when it finally hooked up.

Here is mine, had it out 3 times this fall. Best time so far was 1.72 60 foot ,12.72 @105 still tuning suspension and engine,hoping for 11.9x in the spring.

.030 over 427 (431) cast crank ,forged TRW pistons,approx 10.7-1,241 Casting heads 113cc with 2.30/188 valves.Comp 282s solid ft cam .244/252@.050 590/598 lift,RPM intake ,750 df/dp holley,2 inch Hooker Comp headers 2455-3 black ceramic coated, 350 turbo trans,too small of convertor lol and a 12 bolt posi with 3.73s. Over winter I am changing the springs and shocks front and rear,adding an air bag on the pass side,convertor and hopefully going to a 9 inch F**d rear. Works pretty good now considering it isn't even broke in yet, but there is alot more left,just need to tune the suspension and engine. Brian

Sorry I just saw the post ADD gets me sometimes any waya hoosier drag radials 325/50-15 on a 10" wheel i need to screw them to the wheel. But...

The engine is fresh,so once it is broken in I may put it on a chassis dyno just to see.I would estimate around 475 to the crank.It was built with parts I had accumulated over the years. here is my bucket of bolts still down. putting the engine back together this week hope to have it in this weekend then comes rewiring the hole truck for 2kits etc....

that is in the makes also. the chassis man wants everything in the truck so we can do all the suspension and rollcage at one time. i am just ready to ride out. this has been a long time coming and i have been looking/gathering parts for a little over a year now.here is the pics. of the new bbc 512 and th400 trans.

I have the same intake in the sbc. Damn 2 systems. So what size of hits are you running?
