Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

A little further on the truck this week. Got the inside and fire wall painted satin Brigade blue (507) and I think it looks killer! Still have some blocking to do on the cab and bed. i will be installing the engine so the inner fenders can be put back on. Getting closer!

Man looks good. Since you have the floor and behind fuel tank masked off what's the plan to cover that with?

It has bed liner already on it. I'm going to send it to my upholstery shop to come up with something. Thinking carpet up the back wall,

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

My truck is getting closer. I have been going every Saturday to the paint shop and doing work on the truck. I shaved the tailgate, gas filler, stake pockets, installed the rear tank, installed engine and covered the bed rail holes. They have been blocking the truck and getting all the lines and body straight. Look how straight they got the bed rails! It's coming along fast now. Exterior paint will be going on next week and next Saturday I should be putting together the bed adding the new oak wood. I'm ready to get the truck back home and start driving her!

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

507 is on and it looks great! I stopped by the paint shop and l had to take a peak into the booth and see the results and they were more than I expected. Jason laid down a beautiful shiny base/ clear of 507 and it's perfect! His crew did an great job on the body work! The doors and fenders are like glass. Just look at the pics. The hood and bed should be shot this week.

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

Started to reassemble the truck this week. The bed, tailgate and hood are drying in the paint booth. Hopefully we will have a complete body together by next weekend!

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

I took my wife to go see my truck Thursday . (You can see her in the background) They got a little further this week on the assembly. The front end is almost together. Body lines are perfect and the doors open and closes smooth. The front and rear glass is going in next week and i also I hope I can get the bed assembled and put on the truck.

I have been thinking about that also. They are going above and beyond to make this thing look good. It isn't even color sanded yet and it looks great! I am planning on color sanding at a later time. After I get all back together and running. That way I can get all the small scratches and nicks fixed.

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

I was stationed in Bavaria for six years and loved it. The TUV is pretty hard on inspections and i thought it would be real tough on older trucks. My 84 BMW was taught to get thru them for inspection. Especially the brakes.

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

Installed the bed and have one more bored to install in the floor. I have to cut out the filler hole and I did't bring my hole saw yesterday. I think my wife picked out the correct stain to match the color!

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

Finally got the truck back home yesterday. Fort Hood Paint and body did an outstanding job making my vision come true on the paint. Yesterday was the first time I saw it in the sun light. It really looks good. The bed color and chrome really goes with the Brigade Blue. I started by putting the windows in and for some reason it was the hardest time yet. I guess I didn't want ti scratch it. Which I did on the window seam. All installed the sun visors, firewall pad, wiring harness and some hoses. The plan tomorrow is plum the the rear tank and maybe try to start it.

I know TJ. I think it will be a little more detailing than before. The satin was wash and wipe.

It's going back to the original fawn interior with the white and charcoal dash
