Re: WTB magazine ad

I'm also waiting on that day buddy!

In the meantime I've had no luck with the original ad for the truck. However last week I picked up this little item while I was out at my grandparents.

And then yesterday I found this ad while going through some old Hot Rod magazines I just got in.

The issue was from 1955!

Now if I could just find the truck ad that quick.......But then I would have to start another seemingly never ending thread.

Re: WTB magazine ad

I really want you to find this ad.But,I`ll hate to see this thread go.I think it will need to be saved in some sort of archive. You`ve created a collectible while looking for a collectible.I`m being totally serious here.
I lost all my advertising pictures with my latest computer failure...ARRRG!!

No?

No problem!

I'm sure it's going to turn up sooner or later.

Re: WTB magazine ad

"Hey darlin`,what say we go back to my cave and you let me check out your clutches?"

I talked to a guy that thought he might have that ad.He said it was a red pickup with a white top.I got all excited and had him meet me to buy the ad.Needless to say,I was disappointed:

Re: WTB magazine ad

Did you ever try universities? Its a long shot, but when I was in college studying, I used to check out the magazines they had. They always kept older magazines in their archives. I used to read LIFE, Popular Mechanics, Motor Trend, etc... 10-15 year old mags back in the late 80's. Just a thought.
