Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
a few more of the 1964 going to have a small list of things that need to be done.
what was neat it still has the date mare on the inside of the hood it was a plane jane truck the guy i bought it from said it had a pontiac 350 in it and the org motors long gone he bought an 230 inline and put in is 4 spd is saginaw dors shut nice and the windows stick a little rolling up and down might just need a little grease or new rollers .the linkage needs little work . Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
When out in to the shop tonight to run the numbers on the block to double check what the guy told me the motor was. well he told me it was a l6
230 but after running the numbers its a 250 75-79 year block .. and found out some red neck style motor mounts really wood come on and what were they thinking with a 5 to 6 inch long run of all thread |

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
I've heard of using long pieces of all thread to help hold the trans while you guide the input shaft thru the TOB and the clutch disc, but you are supposed to remove them and replace with bolts when done.
Yes it is amazing what some people will make use of rather than just get the correct parts.

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time
Yes, great color.
And you widening those rear fenders really turned out good. They line up better with the width of the cab. I'm glad to see you posting again. I was a follower of your build.
