Thanx boys! Yes very much like a Bigfoot . Was able to find one only an hour from home. Now for some more adventures. Love your truck diesel, looking for a srw 4 by crew myself.

took dieseldawg down to the chilliwack river, pinks are running right now... we've had a record breaking summer here, hot & dry, rivers are pretty low right now still a few deep spots for dawg to fish not much luck here, just this little guy, time to head upriver ok, here we go, time to go fishing.... |

Re: post up your camping pics
dawg got about 14-15 today...
but dawg is also an environmentally conscious puppy too...he religiously practice's catch & release (unless i let him keep one...) he just really enjoys the chase! diesel's last catch of the day, prob a little freaked out, but completely unharmed, in fact i think dawg's way is better than an angler with a hook.... |

Dawg is a champ! Awesome that he loves to fish. I fish a 100 days a year and I if I had his numbers our Saskatchewan lakes would be empty😮😮

Re: post up your camping pics
Man I wish mine could fish like that! They just like to lick the heads once they die.
Or roll in their dead carcass and smell it all up. |

Re: post up your camping pics
thanks guys!
dawg has been fishing since he was a pup, he's pretty good at it. i've taken him to the river & some days he puts all the anglers to shame... i let him & Dixie keep this one a few yrs ago....('bout a 20 pounder) |

Re: post up your camping pics
I had to put down my big 120 pound boy a couple years back, cried like a baby. I'm sure diesel owns your heart like my boy Zak did. We buried him in our acreage's front yard and planted a tree over him, my 8 year old twins call it the Zak tree and they are sure he still looks over our yard. I totally can see that diesel will hold that same love from your family .

Re: post up your camping pics
yeah bilfman, he's my bestest buddy in the whole world! spent more time with him in the last 10 yrs than any human (more enjoyable..) he goes pretty much everywhere with us
i've been trying to keep him real busy the last 10 months since Dixie passed away last yr.. it has affected him BIG time losing his life-long partner....so i try to take him out alot & keep his mind off it. she's sleeping in our back yard, and yeah, i snivelled like a baby when she went.... dreading the day when dawg joins Dixie digging for bones in that big kennel in the sky.... |

Re: post up your camping pics
had planned on doing some riding at Carolin mine, but some moron wrecked that. during the fire ban last summer, somebody went down the pipeline access & started a fire. they were actually mopping up this fire when we went by last july on our holidays. anyways, to prevent it again, they blocked off the access. used to be able to drive across the creek- not anymore....
too bad, this leads in to THE BACK country pretty tough to get across now, maybe if you had a rock buggy.... you can see how the fire ran right up the pipeline |

Re: post up your camping pics
headed over to Larson's Hill, prob the best place in n. america to ride or go sledding. hundreds & hundreds of miles of trails going all over the mountains
thats SAR's emergency shelter full of rescue gear, get a lot of sledders in trouble in the winter (avalanches) |

Re: post up your camping pics
hope thats not a body....
prob someones pet. somebody went thru a lot of effort to bring their buddy up here, beautiful resting area though... me & the dawg had a great time today back on the Coke, heading down, traffic is starting to show up now. 3/4 of a tank to get up here & fart around, now it's time to coast for 20 miles at 60 mph (even with 4:56's) and yeah, there is 4 runaway lanes on the hill, i've never used them, but i've seen a few rigs nail them in the winter.... |
