Re: Project N2Deep
Ok, I stopped by the shop and it looks like the work is going slow. He said cab forward is almost ready for final primer. He ran into some problems with the shaved drip rail in front of the cab (high/low spots and thin spots.) He was also getting some cars ready for a local car show and said he will get moving on the project now.
I got California "black" plates for the white 67 & Super Cheyenne off ebay. I also put the buddy seats in the 67. |

Re: Project N2Deep
Well they sold the camaro, so my bank account is safe. I stopped by the shop and almost sh~t myself. I saw the top of a silver truck in the back corner of the shop. For a min I thought it was another truck, nope mine with some paint on it! After 5 years it's finally coming together.
Looks like he is doing a good job, only the cab and firewall are painted, but it looks pretty good. I only have crappy iPhone pics, but will take some more when the front clip is on next week! Last edited by Raguemoe; 10-22-2009 at 02:29 AM. |

That silver looks nice.
What silver did you decide on? Where did you find your bucket seats? What shop is doing the work for you? David |

Re: Project N2Deep
It is a 5/7 drop from CPP (Grand slam 2" modular spindles, 3" front springs, cross drilled rotors, 2" blocks, 5" rear springs and c- notch). Almost too low with the rally's (hits on speed bumps etc...)

Re: Project N2Deep
I went with the Lincoln (Birch) and I'm real happy with it. I got the seats from a board member. The shop's name is Minc Kustom's in Rialto. PM me for the number.
I plan on changing the interior color on the white truck to black next year! And if all goes well with the project I plan on painting the Super Cheyenne 4x4! |

Re: Project N2Deep
The Intros are 20x8 f & 22x10 r ( I don't have the offset) & rally's are 15x6.5 & 15x8.
Spoke to the shop today and they are still working on getting the front together. Seems like other cars are getting pushed ahead of my truck. I hope to see the front together next week! Pulled the Airstream w/the 72 4x4 on the fwy last weekend (scary!!!) Never noticed how much play in the steering until I pulled thr trailer on the fwy. I'm having a guy finish the polish on the Airstream. I started it a few months ago and haven't had the time to work on it. I will have to do alot of work to the 72 if I want to tow with it. Will post pics when front clip is done! |

Re: Project N2Deep
Well the Airstream came out great. As soon as I get a few days off I will paint the bumper & hitch areas and start the detail work.
I've been driving my moms 64 Nova wagon to work for the last few weeks and been getting 16 mpg (wahoo!). I figure thats about double what I get in the trucks, but the radiator just went so my savings will go right back into the car. I tell my neighbors (most drive hybrids that the Nova is my idea of going "Green"). Most of the front of the project truck is painted, last week I stopped by and he was detailing the frame so he could reassemble the front end. Not much progress other then that. If I wasn't working 80-90 hrs a week I would be over there every other day, but as it stands I stop by every few weeks! |
