Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Now I have to sell more crap to pay for the engine parts & machining. I'm going to have the block soaked, and get it power honed. Then a Edelbrock Performer RPM cam kit to go with the manifold I already have. I will port & port match the intake & exhaust ports. I do this with every Chevy I build. What I do works. I still have to take the valves out to see what condition they're in. Hopefully I can just lap them in. If not more money for machine work. It sucks when you don't have the tools. I always did my own valves, and used the shop equipment from where I was working at the time.

I would like to. I don't have the money for that. The only thing I'll be stroking is...., well lets say use your imagination.

Personnaly I have never seen anything like that Rosanne picture before and I think the site has a right to ban it if they want to. Stuff like that is just going to far.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Dennis, Truck is looking good, I have not kept up with yours as much as I would like to..your moving along nicely.

I see you have plenty to do for customers, I did paint and body on the side from about 1993 to 1996 before moving to Florida for a few years. I NEVER had time for my own projects, but it brought in extra money and paid for the tools and equipment that I needed.

By the way, I saw your shop is 30 x 40, but what is the eve height and slope of the roof?

Thanks Karl The shop has 12' walls with the standard pitch. I don't remember what it is. My lift fits perfect. I was sweating it.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Well I almost got my truck on the lift, but the 63 Lark owner decided to do a frame off. Oh well I guess that's a good thing. But I cleaned and painted the front part of the frame with the body on. I wish he told me sooner.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I got carried away cleaning up the shop, and rearranged things to make for more room. I also am trading labor for this almost new Swamp Cooler. Now I have to figure out how to hook up the electrical to the control switch.

That pluming next to the sink is for peeing. It goes to a septic tank, and I wash the pee down with the spout from the sink. Cool huh?
