Come on man- NC ain't that far away- I can get to your place in a day on the bike....

My test fit went well and it should be easy. My (likely unnecessary) worry is not having the carpet in the right spot for the first cut and then having it eternally out of place. I'm OCD and that would make me nuts.

The truck is looking awesome (yours, not mine)

Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"

Great progress. I love the paint combo for sure. How did the PB hinges work out with the capped wire track? I'm debating capping it off before or after I get my hinges.

It has taken more work to fit properly, but think I figured out the simplest way to make everything work properly. Just have to redrill the bucket holes up and the rest fits as normal. I'll post pics later

That would be very helpful. I like the clean look of the shaved channel but didnt want it to cause a major pain in the end.

Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"

Thanks everyone. I will get some pictures up tonight. Plan to get out there this evening and get the steering back in to see where my additional knuckle needs to be. Them on to the pedal linkage and finish master cylinder install. And much much more!

This is a great looking build! It has given me some ideas for my upcoming build. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"

I just came across your build and its awesome. I like your work and I like the theme. I have two questions for you. 1 is did you have to notch the core support to make a little room for the steering box? and 2 is with the 3" z did you have to do anything with the trans tunnel in the cab floor? it didn't look raised. thanks
