Good news man! You need to prompt your folks to also add a lift, compressor, tools, welder, plasma, torchmate...

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
I think I would be taking the Blazer over there.. At least you can take everyone for a ride in one trip..
Good luck over there, it will be an experience.

Some detail shots as promised. Just a few random pictures from around the engine bay. It's only this clean once!

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
A couple of the ceramic coated exhaust manifolds and the plug wire routing--what a PITA! I also coated the manifold hardware in anti-sieze, which should keep them from rusting for a while...

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Thanks a lot guys! The building was supposed to have a jet flying out of that huge hole in the awning, but was cut due to budget constraints--that would have been a cool shot...

I like the stock detailed look. What else do you have planned before you leave?

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
What color did you use on the manifolds and how is it holding up after a few heat cycles?

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
It's a cast iron grey ceramic I had my powder coater (Witt's) do. No change from when I installed them and I expect them to remain that way for a LONG time Cost me $40 each, but well worth it for the lack of rust...

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Wow, what a deal. I had mine blasted and I painted them with Eastwood's stainless paint and they are already rusted at 600 miles.
