ridetech airbags in the back, CPP drop spindles and drop springs in the front. Will be changing out the springs in front for airbags as well in a week or so.

Re: Post your pics of 64-66 Panels & Subs
Here's a pic of My Suburban. Just bought it from a guy in Washington and had it shipped to Indiana. Love this thing! Had a 69 Camaro when I was younger, but would much rather have this to drive around. The wife and kids love it as well!

Re: Post your pics of 64-66 Panels & Subs
Just got my 66 Suburban back on the road today. Bought it in November as a running driving truck. Then the motor blew and I decided to do a full mechanical rebuild. CPP 4 wheel disc brakes, 383 engine, 2010 Suburban seats, new CPP suspension all around, new steering box, bushings, and about a thousand other small things. It sits about 5.5" lower than stock with very little rake.
And yes, that's not an optical illusion. It has been shortened about a foot behind the rear wheels. The front turn signals have also been filled, rear wells tubbed, bumpers tucked and dash has been smoothed. All of that was done before I bought it. |

Re: Post your pics of 64-66 Panels & Subs
After seeing mine on page 1, posted by someone else. I thought I would share some up dated photos before she goes under the knife once again.
Current set up is, a 383 stroker and a 700r4, static drop, shaved and detrimed, flush rear glass, GMC Hood, frenched antenna, Injected Flame throwers.... Now the next plan is in progress, acquiring parts to build a new chassis to handle a duramax and still lay rockers. Maybe we can Design it together?? |

Ditto; I was thinking the same! So, I saved the pics for my albums before he digs into it.

I build hot rods for a living and my second job is a day dreamer, So the idea of cutting into her is no big deal. Expensive but no big deal. And since I have a New Duramax and Allison combo ready for a project.... and I really want to change the Panel, I have decided to design a chassis that will let me lay rockers and still handle the torque. I'm planning on a porter built front end with a custom rear suspension. The idea is to build the chassis and substructures with a mock up cab and front sheet metal, and when ready lift the panel body off and just drop it on top. Sounds easy doesn't it? You can follow along on this site or here. http://www.eyekandykustoms.com/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Eyeka...2218863?ref=hl |

Re: Post your pics of 64-66 Panels & Subs
One of the things I am contemplating is doing a clam shell rear door conversion, the barn doors are nice but I would like to make it unique, plus I want to be able to see the cars behind me disappear when I use all that torque.....
So I'm in the market for a set or parts of the rear doors.....lets build this thing together and see what craziness we can come up with??? |
