Sounds good! I don't remember what it has on it for a carb. Are you pushing the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor to set the choke, after you turn the key to the on position and wait a couple of seconds? Pretty important on a carbed engine cold start.

Re: 68 GMC 4x4 Suburban build up

No real updates other than I have been driving it around. Going to use it for some home depot runs for our remodel this week.

Anyway here are some photos I have been posting on my Instagram @StrongmanGarage

Bought a 2013 Tahoe for a DD (even though I've been mostly driving the 1968)

Nice photos. I really enjoyed driving mine before I sold it. I have another one spotted and I will stop and talk to the owner in a few days.

Re: 68 GMC 4x4 Suburban build up

I was embedding the photos off my Facebook which seems to X them out after awhile.

Super annoying!

I have been driving it around town a good amount for errands and home depot trips.

Right now I am trying to get all the gauges functional the temp and fuel gauge are not functioning I think its a ground problem.

You might check and see if this ground wire came loose. Slide it off and back on to make sure it is biting into the metal on the lip.

UPADTE SOLD

I sold my Suburban it went to the right home and I feel like I was ready to move onto something else.

I made a walk around video before I sold it if you want to check it out.

Thanks everyone for all the help over the years!

Looks like he is trying to flip it.

I tried to get that price for a year so good luck to him.
