Re: My Blue 1957 build

The Brothers show looked to be a nice show. It's always nice to meet others that have the same hobbies and interests. Is there a favorite show for those of you in the LA area? I would like to make one of these shows some time in the future. The San Bernardino /Pomona areas are fairly familiar to me. I have been a street rod/ classic truck fan for a long time now.

The Grand National Show in January and the L.A. Roadster Show fathers day weekend are a couple of good ones at the Pomona fair grounds.
This is a decent site for what goes on here.

Lower valance done with vents

Flipped the sway bar to a front mount rather then have it hanging down below the crossmember

Motor covers trimmed and mounted

Re: My Blue 1957 build

Thanks for the site Kim. Hope to eventually meet you guys at one of these. I follow several project builds such as this one, yours and also BAM's. This one looks like a very nice build. Blue57, you are doing a great job! You seem to stay at each task until you get it right. That's what makes it such a nice, clean build.

Thank you very much. This is my first build I have done. I just do one thing at a time until I am happy with it. I have had some good help and guidance from guys on here as well as builders here. I am fortunate to have a close family friend that has been building street rods for years. The one thing I have learned the most is the the proper fitment of all the pieces really make a big difference on the overall apperance of the vehicle. Like they say it really is the little things that count.

Re: My Blue 1957 build

thank you!

trying to get a few little things done. Ran into a problem with clearance between a/c and glove box door. Glove box has to be 3/4 shut to get it to line up with hinge. Keep thinking about wheel tubs and possibly doing the hood mod.
