Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I have to do a few little things before its up and running, but its close. I always slack a little during football season. We have been real busy at work and my side business and I've spent several weekends over the last couple of months in Tuscaloosa cheering on the Tide!!!

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
That truck is sweet. Maybe in a couple of years I will make myself a dually. I did a ton of photochops of my truck last year and I made in into a dually and this is how it turned out.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I got the turbo bolted on and got most of my fuel system in place this last weekend. I hooked up a battery, spun it over and bled the air out it. I don't have the glowplugs harness in place yet, so I have even tried to crank it. I have got modify the Z bar for the clutch and I'll be done with fabrication (besides the rest of the exhaust) under the hood.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
Are you using the stock glowplug harness? Are you going to run dual batteries?

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
Yes, I am going to run the stock glow plug harness from solenoid with manual push button. I'm going to machine a hole in factory '67 choke knob with a set screw through the side to mount it to the push button switch. I am going to mount the switch with the knob in CHOKE location on the dash. I am going to run dual batteries also. Its beginning to warm back up, and football (and recruiting) season is over, so I'm going to jump back on it soon!

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
How are you making out with this? Seems I'm the only one posting any progress on my mess. I'm HOPING to fire it up tomorrow. What are you doing for engine oil cooling?

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
alright, Alright, ALRIGHT! FINALLY - a worthwhile update! I awoke the beast, and she sounds mean! After an almost 1 year hiatus, I finally got my dually running! I have been off the board awhile and I have missed talking with you guys, so I decided I might was well have a good update on my return. The diesel runs great (Big Thanks to JKade) and sounds awesome. The custom 4" discharge housing really makes it sound mean! The video doesn't do the turbo justice, it really whistles! I couldn't run it long because I don't have the cooling system in place yet, but here's a little sampling of it. I can't wait to drive it!
Here's some pics of the engine with the pressure chamber and discharge housing installed. There's also one of the Z bar I had to modify and frame mount I had to make to engage the clutch. I used a spherical rod on the lower pushrod that goes to the fork, and its extra smooth. This would be a great upgrade for any manual shift truck. I'm going to add one to the rod coming from the clutch pedal as well. I'm not quite sure what's up with my camera, so I'm sorry the pics are so fuzzy!
