SKYMANGS:
Here's my plan for routing the capillary tubes for the mechanical water/oil pressure gauge. The grommet is a new Ford product, donated by Rico Fluke (my last truck build)

Nicely done on the seat work.

Dig the lines too. Just enough candy to attract your eye.

Can you provide a pic of the final seat bracket before the seats go in for the final time? Build looks awesome.

Re: Cecil the 1953 5 window / S-10 / 5.7 TPI

Thanks all. Cecil comes back from carpet on Friday. I've got a couple little things to wrap up, but I expect to get a few miles on her Saturday. Everything is built with a lot of attention to detail, so I expect no major issues.

I'll take a pic of the seat brackets tomorrow. Not complicated, welded some 1/8 tabs to the adjusters, drilled them, and bolted it to the built up runners.

Stance looks good ... even on the trailer.

You've done an outstanding job on this truck so far.

You ARE an inspiration and source of motivation only to be outdone by your imagination.

Keep up the good work.

There are many styles of these trucks, they can be done a lot different ways and all can look awesome. Your truck has simply one of the best looks ever. That sucker is just beautiful!

Thank you MARTINSR, SKYMANGS has brought my ideas to life with his own personal touches.

Cecil will serve as lasting tribute to my late mom and my step dad. My step dad is very simple man and just shakes his head at pictures I have shown him of Cecil's transformation. I know my mom looking down and shaking her head as well. Wish she could have seen it with her eyes but I know she was excited that I finally started working on him last year.

Here's a comparison of the before and after shots when I first got Ole Cecil from stepdad in 08. Almost the same angles but what a difference.

Re: Cecil the 1953 5 window / S-10 / 5.7 TPI

Thanks guys for the kind words. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than getting on of these trucks back on the road in a safe and reliable manner, with a touch of my own personal style. Cecil is just what I needed. I was getting tired of the same builds month after month. Feeling creative again!
