Thanks! It started out with a 86 jimmy body about 26 years ago, and just within the past year or so it go up graded with the newer ZR2 body and drive train..
Here's a picture of it right before I took it apart for the up grade... I found that S-10 grill in the side of the road,, Score!

Pretty much just used the body, the old frame had a tired sb 400, and I went with a ZZ383 crate motor from GM when I did the up grade, also running a manual Th350 trans and a doubler box with a Lomax 205, Dana 60/14 bolt axle combo with 5.13 gears. The ZR2 was a running Blazer, parted out most of the drive train that was left, and I can't remember what it had, I know it was a V6 Vortec...

Here's the stock ZR2 taking it's new frame to the sand blasters.

Re: How about some pics of S10 S15 Luv Blazer II

'89 Tahoe long bed after first wash since bringing it home. Still have some chrome to polish. Thinking about doing black spray-on bedliner/rock-guard below the rockers. The sport wheels and beauty rings all have rust spots, need to strip and powder coat. Engine bay needs detailed. Interior just needs a little cleaning. Need to figure out a way to secure the trailer wiring, like a spring clip to stop it from dangling.

76 stepside, Thats a good looking truck I think painting the wheels red or orange would wake that baby right up. I just bought new stainless rings for under $80.00 Or you could stay conservative and go for a dark brown.

Thanks! Parked next to a nice lowered sixty-something Apache with red wheels and thin whitewalls the other day. I like the look on some trucks.

Not a huge fan of these sport wheels, but want to keep the truck original in memory of my father. Probably powdercoat them in silver and paint the black accents on. The rings are brushed finish and in great shape. Will strip the old clear off, buff them, then apply a clear.

Looked for a nice center console/cup holder today, no luck. Nothing that mounts on the hump. Maybe next time!

Although I do actually pull a 24' tandem axle flatbed with a tractor on it. The 4.3 backed by a 4L60E with a 3/4 ton clutch pack and the rear end setup with richmond 3.42 gears and the powertrax I am not to concerned. and it still has enough power to get around fine. Only gets 13-14mpg highway when I am pulling big loads like that but otherwise it handles it fine! And no it doesn't bottom the suspension out even close.
it's not the power to pull a load that concerns me, it's be'n able to stop the load once it's move'n.

Haven't hauled a trailer with the S10 yet, but it sure stops better than my half-ton C10. Have towed a Corvair on a tow dolly with the C10. It stopped ok. At least the back tires grab some pavement with a trailer hanging on. With no load I almost can't stop without them skidding.

Driving in the rain yesterday it was hard not to spin a tire in the S10 on takeoffs.

Here's my 91 LWB I had for a little over a year back in 07. It had a 383, 700R4, bagged with a 3.5" body drop.
