Man my wife has been in my truck once and that was sitting low in the seat with a ball cap and dark glasses on...
First of all don't believe everything you hear..........my garage is quite the mess...................glad to hear that you made it back safely Brian! It was a pleasure meeting you and too bad it was raining so much.

Anyway, I did get the Gear Vendor overdrive/underdrive system and installed it this past weekend. Now I am waiting on my headers to be returned from Sanderson so I can test it out. Additionally, I have to get the drive shaft shortened, again.........oh well that is the prices we pay for upgrades. Anyway I will post pics/results when we are able to put it to the test.

Again, It was a real pleasure meeting you and anytime you are down this way feel free to stop in and take a break...............

Re: 59 Chevy Build

I took some time this morning before work to look over your build again from start to finish (good thing I was up early ) Your build was very well done from the fabrication to the paint. You & your wife should be very proud of work you have done! If you don't mind, I would like to see a picture of your pro street on the trailer hooked up to your hauler, just to get see what it's going to look like going down the road.

Re: 59 Chevy Build

I am currently on my holidays in Florida and used
the chance to visit Bob in Palm Harbour and see his
trucks. He is a really nice guy and I want to thank him
for the nice welcome and the ride, with his black truck.
I hope to see you in germany one day...

Re: 59 Chevy Build

Ok I am not really sure but I do believe that you have a little something wrong with your engine mounting....Looks to me like you have it in upside down and backwards.

Actually I really like the stance of the black one don't think I would change a thing.

Re: 59 Chevy Build

It's great to see your back at it Bob. The front end is sittin just about right! Once you got her leveled off it will be totally sweet. Hows that overdrive system working for you? Got any details about the install to enlighten us with? Whats your opinion on the shifting?

Did you inspire your neighbor across the street to get a project? Looks like there is a fleet side covered up over there!

Re: 59 Chevy Build

okay, lets see if I can address everyones posts...............
pgf545 & entourageguy.....the motor isn't backwards, the truck is, it just needs to be turned around......

entourageguy, the shockwaves were the wrong ones for the fatman setup. Air ride makes a special shock specifically for the fatman application, they will be here next week.

GRIMSS, not sure what you mean by changing the crossmember? I did fabricate my own crossmember because I raised the whole driveline up.

Cal..........thanks man!!

Poncho......the gear vendor unit is working great. I was a little concerned with the down shifting but after speaking to the great people, at gear vendors, I am going to change the fluid to synthenic and see if I can "soften" the down shift a little.

Kim57..........thanks too...........

GATORBUILT '59.......the truck across the street was one of my 1st generation step side '59's that I sold to him......

Thanks to everyone for all the comments.........if I missed anyone, sorry!......

Re: 59 Chevy Build

This months TOTM theme is "Big Block Power" and I have nominated your 59. I'm still amazed on how fast you built such a sweet truck and in my opinion is well deserving of a TOTM award! So to everyone else, make sure to cast your vote for for prostreet58's truck.

P.S. Bob do you have a picture of the motor since you finished? I would like to post it with the nomination.
